Interested in Vaginal Therapy/ Vaginal Rejuvenation? Just like the visible skin on your body, every woman’s vagina changes with age. Both childbirth and menopause can have lasting effects on a woman’s vaginal health. Childbirth causes the vaginal canal and surrounding tissue to stretch, and while vaginal tissue will generally heal on its own, it may not return to the same state as before childbirth. Childbirth can cause damage to the vaginal walls, perineum and surrounding tissue. Menopause and other events that can lead to increased estrogen production, such as a hysterectomy, chemotherapy or breastfeeding can lead to thinning, drying and inflammation of the vaginal walls. For many women, these occurrences can decrease healthy vaginal function. diVa vaginal therapy is here to correct these feminine issues.

However, with vaginal rejuvenation treatment, many women can greatly improve the quality of their vaginal tissue. The diVa treatment involves inserting an ergonomic and comfortable device into the vaginal canal. diVa vaginal laser treatments are quick and easy, and each procedure takes 3 to 5 minutes to treat the full length of a vaginal canal.

What do patients experience during the diva vaginal therapy treatment and afterward?

diVa laser therapy is comfortable and quick. Some patients experience a slight pressure against the vaginal wall and increased sensitivity near the vaginal opening during the treatment. There is no spotting, discharge or discomfort after the treatment, so there is no downtime. However, we recommend not engaging in sexual intercourse for 48 hours.

Other factors that diva helps:

  • Are you wearing a pad or panty liner just in case you laugh, cough, or sneeze?
  • Are you getting up multiple times per night to use the restroom?
  • Are you unable to exercise because you are concerned you might leak urine?
  • Have you had unsuccessful bladder surgery and still have some unresolved issues?
  • Are you considering bladder surgery?
  • Are you using any medications, prescriptions or over the counter, to treat a decline in your vaginal health?
  • Are you experiencing uncomfortable dryness or itching sensations?

If you answered, “Yes” to any of the questions above then diVa is right for you. People who are going through menopause, had children, and/or cancer survivors can all benefit from the effects of diVa. It helps restore healthy tissue and improves the quality of life. Imagine not having to run to the bathroom to change while herding the kids right beside you or not worrying if anyone can see the leakage through your pants. It is a worry-free lifestyle and let’s face it, you deserve it!

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Is topical anesthetic necessary during the diVa Procedure?

Yes, we use a specially formulated compound numbing cream about 20 minutes before the procedure to ensure a comfortable experience.  The procedure itself feels like a “knocking” sensation which is painless with the numbing compound.

  • Is there an age minimum for diVa vaginal laser therapy?

The minimum age for diVa vaginal therapy is 25.  DiVa works well for women who have had children and looking to improve vaginal tightening and lubrication.  Patients report having improved bladder control after diVa.

  • How many diVa treatments are recommended?

We recommend 3 treatments about 1 month apart for the initial treatment.  Some women might need yearly maintenance treatment depending on the severity of their symptoms.

  • Is diVa vaginal laser therapy painful?

DiVa vaginal laser therapy can be done without pain with the use of numbing compound cream prior to the procedure.  We use a specially formulated compound numbing cream for 20 minutes before the procedure which keeps patients very comfortable.  There can be mild itching and mild discomfort in the days following diVa therapy due to the healing process.  Most women report mild discomfort and itching that lasts between 1-3 days.
