Resurfacing lasers are used to greatly reduce facial wrinkles and skin blemishes and scars by directing concentrated, pulsating beams of light at the skin’s problem areas.

WHY THE ARCTIC PEEL?

One of the most common and highly recommended resurfacing laser treatment is called the Arctic Peel. Arctic Peels are laser treatments that require no anesthetic and have very little down time. The laser is used to remove superficial layers of the skin to make the complexion smoother.

A machine called the Zimmer Cooler blows cold air during the treatment to make it extremely comfortable. The Arctic Peel has been compared to microdermabrasion, but with 3-5 times the effectiveness in one treatment. Arctic Peels are great for individuals who are looking to:

  • Manage oily or acne skin in order to reduce breakouts.
  • Reduce fine lines.
  • Reduce the appearance of pore size.
  • Promote smoother, brighter skin overall.

You can receive the Arctic Peel treatment every 3 weeks until you get desired results, or anytime you’re looking for a deeper exfoliation. If you’re someone who is planning to go swimming or use the tanning bed or you have darker-toned skin, an Arctic Peel is not the ideal treatment for you. If you have significant sun damage and deep wrinkles, a more aggressive resurfacing laser may be a better option for you.
